Response to Intervention/Academic Intervention Service
RTI (Response to Intervention) is a crucial part of the academic environment of ETMS. These intervention services provides targeted support, assistance, monitoring and assessment to students who are struggling in academics especially in the area of literacy and math.
Child Study Team
Our CST Team consists of a dedicated group of educators who meet twice monthly to strategize and design intervention plans for those students experiencing academic problems. The team includes our administrators, school psychologist, literacy and math specialists, speech therapist and counselors.
Within, our school, we offer programs to close the gaps in literacy and math. Students who have demonstrated a need to strengthen those skills vital for academic success and life long learning are invited to participate.
State Assessments in ELA, Math, and 8th Grade Science as well as STAR (Reading and Math) and DRA (Literacy) fall under the umbrella of RTI. These assessments allow for the recording and monitoring of progress of all students in the ETMS community.
